Nicolas Koles (my signature name for my art)
Art can do more than words. Colors are my silent language. My subjects are selected in accordance with what I feel. It can be an abstract forest, or just colors and forms that express my feelings. I am more concerned with the spirit or essence of a subject than with a real representation. I paint on canvas, gypsum board, sheathing paper and more! In addition to acrylics, I use plaster and pigments to paint with, which gives me spontaneity and freedom to explore endless possibilities. For me, a blank canvas is an invitation to a new artistic adventure. I enjoy painting in my Los Angeles patio studio, surrounded by colorful bougainvillea.
